Another HUGE Accomplishment!
Well, Thanksgiving brought yet another huge step in our son's development: he was taken off his bubble CPAP for 3 continuous hours last night, breathing just normal room air like any of us and he did incredibly well! And boy was he pissed when they put the nasal canula back in after his 3 hours were up! Daddy held his hand (he squeezed my finger tightly) and mommy watched nervously while the nurse struggled to put those seemingly massive canuli into those tiny little nostrils :-( But he calmed right down afterward. Colin is also 2.5 days into his trophic feedings and he's still tolerating mom's milk well. Another 2.5 days and then they'll start gradually increasing the amount of milk he's getting. His progression (to this point) is amazing. I'm starting to think he'll be crawling next week, walking the week after that, mouthing off to his mommy and daddy in 3 weeks, shaving in about 4 weeks and wanting his first car in about 5 weeks ;-)

Aiden says a prayer for Colin each day!!! Colin sounds like an amazing little man already! We think of you daily and send our absolute best.
He is so cute!!! We miss you and say a prayer for you all everyday. Love the name Colin, we almost named Carter that. Tell baby Colin to keep fighting, Carter wants to have a play date. Take care!!!
I love him already! He looks like an amazing SUPER strong and smart little guy (just like his parents)! We pray and think of you often and can't wait to hear about more wonderful accomplishments by your little fighter! Logan can't wait to hang out with him. We can't wait to see you all again soon! Take care of yourselves and hang in there :)
We are praying for the Hamp family and wish you a wonderful holiday season! Please let us know when/how/if we can help you all.
