Could it be? Have we really turned the corner on this acid-reflux thing? What a relief it would be! Prior to being admitted to the hospital, we had switched Colin over to Alimentum with the hopes that maybe it would require less effort to digest and thus the vomiting part of his reflux would subside. It seemed to have worked. Or was it coincidence? While in the hospital, we kept him on the formula for many days, and then the day we introduced breast milk back in, he vomited. Hmmm. So back on formula we went. Then he vomited more. Huh? Not really knowing what to do, the doctors advised us that breast milk was better (of course) and to just out-right try it once again. So we did. And you know what? No vomitting! Likely what has happened is that Colin has FINALLY outgrown the vomiting. They say babies like Colin usually do this before their 1-year birthday. Colin is 8 months now - thank you Colin for working this out 4 months early! You da man! We'll see if we truly have turned the corner on this, but I'm feeling optimistic.
The increased volume of milk though has taken it's toll - on his diaper. Man, oh man, is this stuff working right through him. As in every 3 hours Mr. Runny-Poopies needs changed (no he's not dehydrated). But again, he's keeping it down so we'll take it! This is probably occurring because we are no longer adding any solids (rice cereal) to his diet (can't because of the tube). But what we may start doing is putting the cereal in a bottle first, then milk only into the tube. It gets a little crazy doing it this way, but whatever helps.
I've added some new pics of our georgeous boy which I hope all enjoy. It's fun watching the changes in him. No doubt he's a different boy than when we started this blog 8 months ago! Quite amazing if you ask me!

Bobby & Ania - Hello from Wichita! I hadn't checked the blog in a while and it was nice to be able to read all of the updates. Colin has really come a long way and I am glad to see that he is eating better. I know these past 8 months have been very challenging, but there are many rewards to come as you see him grow up. I think of you often and am glad to hear of such progress. Take care and good luck.
