Big Boy took 50 cc bottles throughout the night last night! Even though his weight has been relatively stable, it's good that he's starting to take in more volume. It's clear that the prevacid is working, as he's much more comfortable with his feedings.
We're excited about this weekend! First, tonight is Mom and Dad's last "date" night for quite some time. 18 years maybe? ;-) Really just going to a nice dinner, then it's back to the hospital to hang out with our beautiful boy. Then on Saturday, we get to spend all day and then overnight with Colin while "rooming in". Hopefully this time around will be a little easier on everyone :-) Colin told us that he'll behave himself this time.

Oh yes my friends, you enjoy every moment as a couple because your son as little he is, and yes he’s no longer tiny, is going to need you all the time once he settles down in his new homey nest. Very soon after coming home he will get so ‘domesticated’ that you will see, feel and hear his presence in every little corner of your house and in every little corner of your being.
But the great news, my friends, is that you by now are a well experienced set of parents, you are, forgive my expression, a well-trained set of parents. You passed a test of time and you, as usual, aced it out. What else can you expect that you’re not already familiar with? Well, I don’t know.
You know your son’s personality, his likes and dislikes, his preferences, his capabilities and his ‘shortcomings,’ if you will. Most parents bringing their newborn home have no idea what’s there behind that cute exterior. Most parents have to learn all the tricks in the world to keep their offsprings happy. You my friends, have a pretty good idea as to how make your son comfortable and content.
No parent knows it all. No parent has all the answers. No parent is immune to the falls and small defeats. No parent is strong enough not to have moments of having ‘enough’. That is precisely what makes us perfect parents, when we humbly admit that we struggle and we try, and we still fall behind our desired parenting outcomes.
Enjoy you weekend together and separate.
